Senior Systems Engineer

Job Type: Permanent

Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer - MCSE/ MCITP - Windows 2003/8, Exchange Server, Multiple Active Directory Domains, and VMware & HyperTerminal.

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of Windows 2003/ 2008 Infrastructure and experience in a multi-site environment. Experience of managing a complex Windows-based IT Infrastructure including virtualised systems, supporting up to 1000 users is required and the skill profile also includes the following:

A current MCSE or MCITP qualification
Strong Windows Server 2003/ 2008 skills (including server build)
Experience of installing and configuring Exchange in a multi-site environment
Experience of managing multiple Active Directory (AD) domains
VMWare & HyperTerminal

Exposure to leadership of/ mentoring/ training less experienced Infrastructure staff would be useful.

Virtualization Technical Consultant-VDI,VMware,vSphere

Job Type Permanent

Your main work will be delivering VMware virtualisation solutions into Microsoft environments. Your time will be spent between delivering these solutions, e.g. implementation, and also doing the design and tendering work. You will also be working on VMware migration projects and will be using VMware and vSphere. You will therefore come from a hands-on technical background in Microsoft (Exchange, AD, Windows Server etc) and VMware.

The ideal candidate must have VDI experience.
You must be experienced and be qualified in VMware and therefore have a VCP. It is essential that you have an MCSE 200 / 2003 / 2007

Vmware or Citrix accreditation VCP VCDX CCEA CCIA would be highly desirable although not all are essential.

Core Skills:

- VDI - VMware View and or Citrix Xendesktop
- Vmware ESX / vSphere / XenServer
- Windows Infrastructures, Server, Etc
- With some exposure to Storage & some networking skills

Responsibilities include full project life-cycle design and implementation engineering and consultancy services. You must have the client facing ability with the commercial acumen to provide technical support to the sales staff.

1st / 2nd Line IT Support Engineer.

IT Support Engineer, Windows Desktops (XP, Vista, "7"), Windows 2003 Server,

The successful individual must have good experience with servers and desktops, networking and user support. More importantly someone with a keen interest in IT, combined with a friendly professional manner, common sense and a good eye for 'troubleshooting'.

65% of your role will be 1st and 2nd Line support; management of user accounts, configuration and management of physical network access, general helpdesk and desktop support. The other 35% of your role is Infrastructure Development; suggesting improvements and changes to the business infrastructure, providing support to senior IT support engineer's, assisting in the replacement of servers, desktops, networking infrastructure technologies.

Essential are the following:

- College or Degree (or equivalent) in a computing discipline.
- Good experience in the majority: Windows desktops, Windows 2003 / 2008 Server, Active Directory, Office 2007/2010, MS SharePoint 2007, MS SQL Server 2005, MS Exchange 2003 / 2007 /2010 Server.
- 2+ years IT Support experience.
- Good understanding of troubleshooting, server and desktop operating systems and networking issues.
- Be eligible for a basic UK security clearance.
- Full UK driving license.
